Where did I end?

July 27, 2015, was the last time I logged in and posted onto my blog, yes it's been quite a while. And it's about time I finish telling my story and in the adventures I've had, so far.

However my blog entries will start with the most current events and going back into my past. And the reason for this form of blogging, is to see progress I've made overall.  My counselor advised from this point going forward to always blog in this form. And the reason, so I can see the progress I've made. And that I've seen, I feel happy again.  Don't get me wrong, we all have those days and I've had many of them, but I have managed and will manage.

And with that being said weekend number 1, ACL October 2, 2015. My buddy, my friend, my white home girl from the hood, my world travel buddy, Beth and I had another successful time at Austin ACL festival. It started with both of us having to work on that Friday which the festival started that Friday, October 2. But you have to work to pay this bill and play hard, so we work till mi-day. Did you actually think we were going to do a full days? "Hell No"!

I can't recall the last time that I've drank so much beer in one single day. Note this event was a three day event.

Some of the main artist that we got to see are: Drake, Deadmau5, Alabama Shakes, Florence and The Machine, FooFighters, The Weekend, Disclourse, and some country Dwight Yoakam.

How I Met Him

Don't you ever hate when people tell you the following, "Just wait, it will happen" or "when you're not looking, it will happen" Blah blah blah. 

Well for me, as a non-believe of these sayings, was shocked.  Let’s start with, I'm starving and heading to HEB, a local grocery store here in Austin, Texas. I want to say, it was close to mid-night. I tend to go around the same times, on weekend, due to; it's always a mad house. 

I recall, getting out from my car, and looking up and I noticed this person also looking at me. That wired strange feeling, quickly came over me. I guess more embarrassed feeling, because I was doing something and I was caught.  That’s for another blog entire.

So then I get off, and on top of things I have this grocery bag, that calls me out.  Austin recently passed an ordinance on banning plastic bags. My bag said, in huge bright letters, “My Big Gay Bag”.   I rushing into HEB, I already knew what I wanted for the weekend, and for that night. I was going towards the cookie section, and aiming for the Oreo's.  There he was.  Granted I am the biggest pussycat on earth, I turn around, and make it so obverse, and rush to the milk section of the store.  Get my almond milk, and then head onto to Oreo's, thinking he was gone.   Turning that corner, and there he was.  Thinking to myself, why in the hell is he still there. He smiles, and says, can I buy these for you.   Who does that and who says that. I was super confused, and lost… was this, a trick.   But that’s not the funny part.

The funny thing about this story, I had left my pinche wallet at home.  So not only did I get free cookies, 2 packages for five bucks, and my favorite soda in the world, “Red Big”, but I ending up knowing a person that changed my entire view of life.

So that’s, how I met him.  I am here written this memory, and sharing it with the world and I want to shed a tear, but I am not... I have a smile, instead.

First "Solo" International Trip to Europe

I knew I’d be nervous for my first "solo' international trip, and counting down the days gets me all excited.

I have been planning this trip for about two year or so.

First I need to find a region, it was either South America or Europe. And as you can see, I've seleted a 20 day EURO trip for 2013 in December. My birthday gift to myself.

The second most important thing, was passport. I've applied and still waiting for my application to get approved.

Third, which I have already done, is paying off my entire trip in cash!. I am rested knowing that its paid off!

I'll be flying out of Austin to either Dallas, Houston, or Washington Dulles International Airport, on my long 10 hour flight to London. Thinking about this long ass flight I get to breathing hard and having waves of anxiety, and trying to convince myself that this trip isnt a huge mistake.

I will keep posting on my blog with upcoming and changes...

Are you as Excited as I am for Scarfs?

I am guilty in this department. I absolutely go bananas for scarfs.  They make an outfit, no matter what.

So tell me boys, men, and daddies, how do you wear yours?

Here are a few, that I have in mind already for my Fall/Winter outfits

Why Wear A Scarf?

Function - Simply put, scarves do an excellent job of protecting a man’s neck.  A thick wool scarf can keep your neck warm on a cold Wisconsin morning, or a lightweight linen scarf can protect your neck from the sun and sand when crossing the Sahara.


Scarf Build TypeThere are a lot of terms out there – bandana scarves, head scarves, square scarves, circle scarves, skinny scarves, and so on.  Let’s keep it simple.  You want your scarves to be rectangle and be made from a material that suits your needs.

Scarf Width & Length – Width should be from 6 to 14 inches, length from 50 to 90 inches, although an average height man wants a scarf at least 60 inches and a larger man should look for one in the 70 inch range.

Material – Scarves are typically made from either wool, cashmere, angora, cotton, linen, silk, synthetic materials, or a combination.  Weave is very important as bulky scarves made from thick yarns require simple knots and are not as practical.

For winter scarves, stick with napped fabrics with a soft surface–you can’t go wrong with wool or cashmere.  If you’re looking for a hot weather protective scarf–linen and lightweight cotton are great as are some synthetics designed specifically for this purpose.

And for me... I always keep this rule of thumb....  this was given to me from a great friend of mine, that introduced me to scarfs.... Well acutally it was my ex.. : )

General Rules for Tying a Scarf

1.Keep it simple – only tie knots you are comfortable wearing–confidence is everything.
2.Scarf length & thickness can limit knot style options.
3.A scarf isn’t a necktie–keep it loose

Austin Skyscrape " 3 Eleven Bowie "

Austin-based Endeavor Real Estate Group released new details about a planned 36-story tower downtown to the American-Statesman, including that it has lined up the equity for the mixed-use project and has brought the Lynd Co. on as a development partner.

Endeavor and Lynd , a family-owned national real estate company based in San Antonio, plan to break ground on the tower in September, with the first of its 358 apartment units ready for tenants by third quarter 2014. The project is called 3 eleven Bowie, after its address near West Fifth and Bowie streets.
